Today I'm talking to you about Psychpath Note, the font that I created specifically for lettering work for Panini.
The comic book consists of many beautiful panels by Lee Bermejo, interspersed and united by a long love letter that hides an enigma to be solved.
The original lettering (which is a work of art in itself) is by Jared Fletcher.
In the transposition I found myself looking for a font that simulated handwriting but without finding anything that came close to the original. After a few attempts with stuff found online (all original) I decided that to try to do a good job and pay the right homage to everything I would have to create the font myself.
I therefore created this Psychopath Note, with many glyphs, and many alternative ones to be able to get closer to the imperfection of a handwritten letter while having a font that can be used with all the advantages (kerning, dimensions, spacing, formatting) of the case compared to handwriting.
You can find it here.
Below, on the left you see the original lettering by Jared Fletcher, and on the right my version for the Italian translation.
