Psychopath Note: a Batman font.
When Panini they sent me the Italian and german adaptation of Dear Detective, I wanted to do a good job. LeeĀ Bermejo's comic is an act of love towards the Batman, and therefore I wanted in some way that the adaptation (the lettering) did justice to the original version and the wonderful illustrations.

I had to maintain a threatening letter style (a bit like Jack the Ripper) handwritten by a syncopated and urgent hand, but I had to do it not by writing by hand but by using a font that was modifiable, editable, rewritable and translatable.
After experimenting with various existing fonts I realized that I had to create my own font. A font with different options for each letter, so as to be able to give a purely analogue idea, and not a "fake handmade" look that is often obtained from a font that has no alternatives to glyphs.
I therefore created Psychopath Note, a font for those who have needs like the ones I found myself meeting.
You can find it for sale (with all the features visible) on my Foundry on MyFont.

above are the three versions: on the left the original, in the center and on the right the Italian and German adaptations made by me with Psychopath Note, the font I specifically created.
